This past Saturday was South Florida Code Camp and just like at previous events, it was a blast. It was great to have some face to face time with people I typically only communicate with electronically, the venue [and staff] was excellent, the organizers and volunteers did a great job, and… I had the opportunity to give two presentations!
My talks “Your Application: Understanding What Is and What Should Never Be…” and “CODE: The fundamental things apply, as time goes by…” were both well attended and I received excellent feedback from the audience. The most common reaction was recognition that the scenarios were indeed common in their environments, and yet there was little material available (or at least readily accessible) about the various problematic areas and how to address them in an efficient manner. My goal is to publish a set of blog posts over the coming weeks that will highlight these areas.
Once again, a big thank you to all of the people who not only made this CodeCamp possible, but also made it fantastic!
